Inclusive Learning Technologies Conference 2012

What?
Hosted by Spectronics, the conference focuses specifically on "inclusive learning technologies" - technologies designed to advance independent achievement for people with disabilities and/or students with learning difficulties. Our very own Dr Ben Schögler will be leading two sessions, as well as playing in one of the 'iBands' in the Battle of the Bands during the closing sessions. CALL Scotland - ICT and Inclusion Roadshow 2012

Edinburgh Schools Music Festival - "Adventures in Space" (featuring Skoog)

What: Prospect Bank School will be performing as part of the Edinburgh Schools Music Festival with their show "Adventures in Space"  which features Skoogs...and spacesuits!

South Lanarkshire Council Skoog Music training session

What? 

South Lanarkshire Council are organising a fantastic Skoog training day for Skoogers in the region, and will be lead by Dr Ben Schőgler the co-inventor of The SkoogThis training is to support the work that Emily Carr (of the Hear My Music organisation http://www.hearmymusic.org.uk ) is doing in the area.  It will ensure Skoog users are comfortable with the set up of the Skoog, aware of its full potential and will give the opportunity to have hands on practice.

What: BETT Show 2012 LearnLive Seminar

Primary School Music Teacher Wanted - No experience necessary. ICT to support non-music specialists in teaching music. Introducing Skoog töo - A musical world for the interactive whiteboard. Technology can bring 'music making' opportunities to all children regardless of ability or experience. Just as children learn to talk by experimenting and listening, they can learn to make music by experimenting and listening, helped by being placed in surroundings that are full of invitations to learn'. This session will demonstrate the Skoog töo interactive whiteboard environment for teaching, learning and creating music. The demonstration will show how non-music specialists can provide a broad music education which includes performing, composing, listening, reviewing and evaluating, helping to deliver one of the key recommendations from the 2011 Henley report. Learn how to supporting children’s natural musicality and provide a learning environment that allows children to explore music through creative play and discovery.
