These checks are only necessary when you start the software! When in normal use the Skoog can be in any position.

Make sure your Skoog is connected and working properly.
IMPORTANT: when you start the software, visual feedback indicators should be clear.

Skoog Software

Check Indicators

If they are not clear:
  • Check that the Skoog is placed on a level surface (this is only necessary when starting the software!)
  • Check that the Skoog is not in contact with another object or being handled.

Calibrate the Skoog
If indicators are still not clear, perform a manual calibration by following these instructions:

  1. With the Skoog on a flat surface: place the palm of your hand firmly on the top (orange button), and rotate the pressure in a circular motion several times, then release the Skoog.
  2. While performing this action (a manual calibration), you should see the visual indicators activating in sequence with your movement.

Activated Indicators

Clear Indicators When you release the Skoog, you should see that the visual indicators are clear - showing no activation. Repeat the manual calibration 3-4 times if necessary with increased pressure.

If the problem persists, shut down the software ('Skoogmusic' -> 'Quit Skoogmusic' [Mac] or 'File' -> 'Exit' [Windows]) and repeat the instructions on this page.
