Troubleshooting
No Sound!

There is no sound when I press.

1. First check your Skoog is working. When you press a surface does is the appropriate visual indicator active?
  • YES: move on to 2.
  • NO: shut down your software and disconnect your Skoog and then reconnect and start the software.
2. Is the sound output is turned on?
  • YES, and there is still no sound: move on to 3.
  • NO: turn the sound on.  If there is still no sound try:
Volume Slider at Zero 3. When you press the Skoog is there a level displayed in the Skoog output level meter?
  • YES: move on to 4.
  • NO: check that the Skoog volume slider is not set at zero. If it is set at zero, click and drag the slider to the left and repeat step 3. Also if you are using the Scrub or Trigger function, make sure you have imported samples correctly.
4. If you can see a level in the output meter, check your computer's own volume settings. Ensure these are turned up. Also if using external speakers check your connection to them, and that they are turned up. Try playing an audio file on your computer as you would normally (i.e. with iTunes or Windows Media Player), can you hear it? If so your computer's sound output is working correctly. Still no sound when you activate the Skoog? Move on to 5.

5. If still no sound (and there is output shown in the output level meter) check the correct output is selected in the audio output settings.

If the problem remains, try shutting down disconnecting (from speakers, etc as well) and restarting your computer and the software. If still no sound please contact a member of the Skoogmusic team for further assistance.
