The settings tab allows the user to save/load individual user profiles and to adjust the settings individually for each surface of the Skoog. It also gives access to the user-adjustable features of the different instruments.
Each surface has a distinct, colour-coded panel with the following features (in order of appearance from top to bottom):
-
On/Off: click to turn each surface on or off independantly
-
High Input Level (Non-sample based instruments only): Situated above the Activation Display. It determines the upper limit of the surface's sensitivty (the surface's activation level cannot reach beyond this number no matter how hard you press).
-
Activation Display: shows the current activation level of the surface
-
Low Input Level (Non-sample based instruments only): Situated below the Activation Display. It determines the lower limit of the surface's sensitivity (the minimum activation level the surface even if you are not touching it - adjusting this can increase your Skoog's sensitivity).
-
Activation Numerical Display: a numerical indication of the the current activation level.
-
Sensitivity Slider: click and drag to adjust the sensitivity of the surface, independant of the other sides. The higher the sensitivity value, the more sensitive the surface, with 60 being the medium sensitivity.
The magenta panel gives feedback and adjustment for twisting/tilting actions in higher skill settings. The grey panel displays instrument specific information adjustable by the user i.e. breath noise for the flute, or stick hardness for percussions. See Adjusting the skill level.
