Salary Scale:

£18,000 - £25,000

Key skills, responsibilities and accountabilities:

1.     Administration: Manage internal reporting and filing systems.

2.     PR and Marketing: Assist in preparation of marketing materials. Help to manage public relations, product advertising and creative campaigns.  Manage lead generation campaigns, search engine marketing and public relations to support sales team and create new routes to market.

3.     Logistics: Stock management, preparation of quotes and invoices, packing and shipping orders, tracking and chasing payment.

4.     Sales, Customer Relations and Support: Pursuing active sales leads. Dealing with customer enquiries, orders and complaints, liaise with existing and prospective customers and distributors at trade fairs, workshops, etc.  Maintain the company CRM.

5.     Maintain a high standard of written and oral communication.

 

Detailed Job Description:

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to build all-round experience in business and marketing. We are seeking a bright, willing, self-motivated and trustworthy individual who wants to prove their mettle in this exciting new music technology company, based in the heart of Scotland’s capital.

Your key responsibilities will be to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the office and to provide sales and marketing support. You will work to help establish and support Skoogmusic’s customer base and will assist in all aspects of the running of the business, from logistics and product assembly, to sales and marketing.  Experience of social media campaigns including (but not limited to) the building of Facebook pages, Wordpress blogs, Flickr and Twitter accounts would be advantageous.

Preferably qualified to degree level, the candidate should be highly skilled in the use of the MS Office suite and will possess strong proper grammar usage, proofreading and copywriting abilities, be detail and deadline oriented, creative and pro-active. An excellent telephone manner is essential.

You will have excellent administrative and organisational skills and your duties will include: recording expenditure, managing budgets, managing filing systems, supporting and developing strategy and materials for advertising, public relations, media, and marketing campaigns, organising meetings, travel and accommodation, maintaining office supplies and equipment.

You will develop a thorough understanding of the company’s products and services and will respond to customer enquiries in a confident and friendly manner. You will engage with customer requirements and suggest/develop new marketing and promotional materials, product suggestions and other material as appropriate. You will maintain the company’s CRM and will be responsible for producing quotes/invoices and will make sure orders are fulfilled and settled a timely manner.

The Sales and Marketing Executive / Administrator reports to the company directors, and must be able to work effectively with multiple supervisors, balancing and prioritising multiple requests.
